Saturday, February 3, 2007 -- the first annual Western Illinois Polar Ride
will be held in Brown County. We will meet at the Presbyterian Church next
(east) of the court house, in Mt. Sterling, for breakfast at 7:30AM. After
breakfast, we will depart as a group for a 25-30 mile bicycle ride, ending
back at the church for lunch. There will be a $5.00 charge for the cost of
the meals, but other than that, it's just show-n-go.

In order to know about food preparation and should we need to notify you if
we cancel due to inclement weather, I would like a response to this
announcement via e-mail or a call to my cell phone at 217-779-2253. Contact
me only if you are planning on attending.

St. Joseph, IL has an annual ride like this that attracts over 100 riders,
but it is just too far to the other side of the state. Therefore, we would
like to make this an annual event on the first weekend in February. I know
the time duplicates the ride time in Macomb on Saturday mornings, but if you
want to make the drive down here, it would give you a change of scenery.

Please pass this e-mail on to any others you know might be interested.

We already have a commitment from 4 riders and I haven't even sent the
e-mail.
