We are considering a Time Trial this Saturday morning in Sciota.
    It will be VERY INFORMAL.
No entry fees, no prizes, self-timed.
Any bike will be OK [road bike, MTB, fixed gear, etc]. Bring your bike and a timing device.
The distance will be about 19 miles/30K, on a flat out and back course, starting just north of Sciota.
You do not need to be a "racer" to do this. Each person rides only for their own time, not with or against others.
We had two such events last year, one at Blandinsville [6 riders, 20K, some complaints that it was "too hilly"], and one north of Sciota [10 riders, 40K-some said too long]. This will be a medium distance and on good, flat roads.
These are good events to test fitness, or just raise your heart rate a little. We hope to have all age groups and genders represented. Some riders will be slow and some fast. We will start riders about one minute apart, based on each rider's own estimate of their average speed.

The purpose of this e-mail is to gauge interest and give some advance notice. You need not respond in order to participate; however, if you are fairly confident that you would ride I would appreciate your letting me know.
If there isn't any interest for this weekend we don't want to go to the time and expense of marking and measuring the road.
On Friday I will send an e-mail confirming, if there is sufficient interest.
Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
