[Macomb-Cycling] 2009 Time Trials, Road Events

    Kent suggested that I might post a few of this years events [ time trials, races ] in the general area. 

     These are primarily time trials[TT] from 9 to 25 miles in length. More schedule information is available at USACyling and American Bicycle Racing websites. There are also Senior Olympics [50 plus] in Macomb. Peoria, Springfield, and Rock Island that include bicycle events.

4-18          TT in Hermann, Missouri, 10 miles
4-25          TT in St. Charles, MO [north of St. Louis], 9 miles
5-17          TT in Barstow, Illinois [Quad Cities area], 12.5 miles
5-23          TT in St. Louis, 12.5 miles
6-7             TT near Iowa City
6-20           Road Race or Metric Century in Carroll County, Illinois [north of Quad Cities]. A fun event whether you race or ride. All age classes. 62 miles.
7-5            TT near Iowa City
7-19          TT at Cordova, Illinois, 25 miles. Flat, many tri athletes participate.
8-1            TT near Jefferson City, MO, 25 miles
8-16          TT near Columbus Junction, Iowa, 25 miles
9-5             Plymouth, Illinois, ride. 24 mile ride or race; also, metric century [date not yet confirmed]


    Most of these events have classes for all ages/genders.
