Hickory Ridge Coffeehouse Summer 2003

Hi Folks,
Sorry that this is a little late in getting out, but it has been a=
=20
hectic time here with summer coming on! Our Summer season should be a fun=
=20
one although there are a couple of things to mention. Due to an=20
unavoidable conflict, there won=92t be a coffeehouse this August. This is=
=20
the first time I=92ve been unable to pull it off in all these years, but we=
=20
still have great music to share in the comfort of the Dickson Mounds Museum=
=20
auditorium.
As always, shows are every 3rd Saturday of the month. Each show=20
features a short open mic plus a featured performer. Please not that we=20
will NOT have an open mic for the June show, however. Prices are $4.00 for=
=20
adults, 2.00 for kids under 12.

Doors open at 6:30, program starts at 7:30. Seating is limited, so come=20
early. Hope to See you!

June 21 =96 Chicago Blues artist Eric Noden makes his long awaited=20
debut! Eric was scheduled to appear last February but was canceled due to=
=20
weather concerns. He is a great perform and in addition, was in the=20
Lewistown area last winter doing a school residency so it=92s a special=
 treat=20
to bring him into our series. A rugged voice and driving steel string=20
guitar bring to life the sheer emotional power of the old school=20
blues. Eric=92s singing and playing capture the spirit of the barrelhouse=
=20
blues artists of the 20=92s and 30=92s. Original songs, traditional blues=
 and=20
ragtime instrumentals in a captivating show. Note that we will not have an=
=20
open mic for this show!

July 19 =96 The Last coffeehouse performance of one our favorites, The=20
Bunkhouse Buckaroos! These old cowpokes are planning to hang up their=20
spurs and retire later this year after many years of great shows and good=20
times. Be there for the last roundup at the Hickory Ridge Corral as they=20
ride off into the purple sage!
